Our new paper is online! Based on 22 years of data and 732,835 fatal accidents, we show that the spring DST transition increases fatal accident risk by 6%. Risk estimates are higher for mornings and positions further west in a time zone!

Amazing work from PhD student Charmaine Diep and showing sleep and executive function improvements in middle aged men using an automated acoustic stimulation device - also one of few studies to show a whole night improvement in SWS!

Imagine you made a sandcastle. It gets shown to expert builders One says it's nice but maybe add some towers One says it should've been a farm from the start One asks why you didn't use cement Eventually it's good enough, so someone fences it off and charges money to see it

About to board a long haul flight with absolutely no intention of doing any work. Maybe I should write a todo list just to make *sure* I can sleep?

  8. As a Chronobiologist, if there is a drink on the menu that comes in a lightbulb, I think you’re obligated to order that drink. Happy Holidays everyone - have a brilliant break and see you all in 2020!

  12. What about people who make the folders but only remember to add a couple of emails to each every 6 months in a poor attempt to be more organised? Asking for a friend.

Wouldn’t have been a complete chronobiology visit if I didn’t go and see the city’s sundial 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation - “Be careful not to lose your time” - beautiful, and apropos!
