    Let's not despair. Outside NATO there are several newish, smaller defence groupings (including the nine-country JEF and SWE-FIN military integration) that complement NATO and enhance European security -- and there's potential for more. My piece for :

    Don't be sure of that. End came for the CCCP not when we in the occupied CEE countries were frigthened of them, but when we could laugh at them. Don't unterestimate the distructive power of becoming ridiculous.
