    Don't be sure of that. End came for the CCCP not when we in the occupied CEE countries were frigthened of them, but when we could laugh at them. Don't unterestimate the distructive power of becoming ridiculous.

    That's right! Perhaps Lincoln next? It too has a beautiful cathedral with a tall steeple and a copy of Magna Charta.

    It is a shame that the Skripal tourists did not visit one of few copies of Magna Carta in Salisbury's magnificent cathedral. They might have learnt something about the rule of law and constraints on absolute power and its abuse.

    We often forget these highly practical steps the EU has taken to make our lives easier -- such as removing roaming charges. Now we take inexpensive roaming for granted.

    Pushed through by the Latvian EU Chairmanship in 2015 at quarter to midnight of the last day, after extremely hard 6 months work. One of the greater achievements of our team, benefiting every EU inhabitant. Would be very sad to see UK reinstating roaming charges.

    Yes. And the effects of daily life of a hybrid warfare attack. Right now must of us just hope that there will never be a crippling attack -- not a very good strategy.

    Except it's not new. The Soviets/Russians have employed this tactic for many years towards Sweden, for example.

    It also claims the UK is the only European country that recruits soldiers under 18 -- not true. Last year, for example, 2,128 Germans under 18 joined the Bundeswehr.

    Appalling article full of nonsense about child soldiers. The recruits from every corner of our society. It is one of our greatest strengths.

    Very well written, . This happens to so many "smaller" countries: journalists turn up for a couple of day and file alarmist pieces. As for 's claim: "far-right, anti-Islam party could win a majority in upcoming elections" -- what nonsense.

    Swedish institutions have arguably done a good job countering attempts at influence meddling, including training civil servants in how to detect attempted meddling.
