“Total them up?” Apparently you didn’t bother to read the article: the rate is higher than last year. Rate being the operative word.

It doesn’t say the rate is up in the most recent one you shared and the other one is outdated because it doesn’t take into account the effect of the lockdown, which has caused the rate to go down. And in any case this is an issue for our local police and not the feds.
