And let’s be realistic it’s impossible to be American and not participate in capitalism... impossible
Why don’t all the “anti-capitalists” stop participating in capitalism? Just stop. If you truly believe #capitalism is evil, unethical etc. you shouldn’t be participating in it. Otherwise, you’re complicit.

I am working towards that. I think it is a mindset more than anything. Ppl went to markets. For some it was a highlight of the week or month. Buying and selling is OK (bartering is better). Capitalism = need the new car or the kitchen appliance seen on kitchen TV.

There is a shift definetly towards systems that are not capitalistic. However breaking the mold of capitalism is difficult because of how endoctrinated, not only the US, but the world is with capitalism. A seed has been planted for many years now & a shift is on the horizon.
