nobody wakes up and goes "dam i want a pill addiction" stop acting like it's a game they can just quit at any time. that isn't how depression and addiction work and your ignorance and shaming could stop someone from getting real help before its too late.
just because you don't understand drug addiction doesn't mean it doesn't exist. ive lost a lot of friends from ODs, it's not xanax's fault. people will always find ways to self-medicate and try to be happy. it's a mental health issue, it's not solved by saying "don't take xanax"
