My OK history text book had EXACTLY ONE PARAGRAPH about these horrific events. We were taught about them for less than 30 minutes and then we moved on. Oklahoma and its education system is joke. (Trust me I live here

this has no information about juneteenth? juneteenth was when the emancipation proclamation was finally read to enslaved blacks in texas, the last of the confederate state strongholds that still instituted slavery despite the proclamation being written into law 2 years prior
