Proud and slightly terrified to share this pre-publication version of my article on the normative emptiness of notice and consent in digital settings (forthcoming on Pace Law Review)

It’s not surprising governments are buying app data to surveil us - the data market is built to channel data to anyone who can pay for it. We have collectively allowed this to happen, and now we need to dismantle it with political pressure and regulation.

“ the rhetoric of ethics and morality should not be reductively instrumentalized, either by the industry in the form of "ethics washing," or by scholars and policy-makers in the form of "ethics bashing."”

While this country is in an actual political crisis, brands constantly beg me to join "revolutions" and "movements" and all I can think is: "The revolution will not make you look five pounds thinner Because the revolution will not be televised"

Been reading a lot of competition law papers for a lit' review lately and have been positively surprised by the work of Rudolph Peritz, particularly 'A Counter-History of Antitrust Law' Duke L.J. (1990). Great early stuff !

. weighs in on in-house moral philosophers. Let's not forget that with great power comes great corruption, even if one is a moral philosopher.

The UK is currently in a state where it is de facto still applying all EU rules without having a say on them. It is called TRANSITION PERIOD. There seems to be a considerable amount of UK politicians who have not even understood that. Which honestly worries me for the future.

Today I saw Z a doctoral student at Harvard, who is stuck in the UK and cannot enter the US nor can she receive financial aid from the US because of her nationality. Harvard are too busy covering their asses to really help her. Anyone willing to report on her story?

In my opinion, this is the most important tech law book of the decade. Buy it, read it, re-read it, keep following 's sharp, brilliant and inspiring work

I'm teaching a course this spring on governing digital technologies, . Much of the syllabus traces how the conventional wisdom on these conflicts, including ones over privacy, property, speech, and governance, has evolved.
