Isn't a portion of the 90% money that Georgians send to DC by paying taxes? My understanding is that Georgia is 1 of a handful of states refusing money that its citizens already contributed to the federal treasury.
If GA expanded Medicaid, 500K citizens would be covered with the feds picking up 90% of the bill. Instead, after 8 years of gymnastics by Republican leaders, the plan is to cover one-tenth as many Georgians at a similar cost.
