People have to get their medications. If the pharmacies all close, where did they go?

They literally closed like 18 stores in the Bay area. Reality check, since you obviously need one: all of that "petty theft” (since when is a grand in a single haul "petty"?) adds up.

Why did they close? Because of this? Doubtful. If they closed it is because of larger issues.

Jesus Christ. You have been wrong on literally every point. Have you no curiosity to look it up yourself?https://www.thesfnews.com/shoplifting-has-forced-walgreens-to-close-17-stores/77228 …

So they cannot afford to stay open due to something that is part of the cost of doing business. I don't really care. What is your solution? Waste billions of dollars on pigs to go after every shoplifter in the country? Have pigs stationed in every retail store in the country?

"representatives from Walgreens said that thefts at its stores in San Francisco were four times the chain’s national average, and that it had closed 17 stores, largely because the scale of thefts had made business untenable." Annual citywide totals have no bearing on the specific affected locations. Why do you think the company closed the stores? Did they just get tired of making money?

Just making a point. It seems like the "sky is falling" rhetoric is overblown.
