I am saddened to see that the Shelby Township Board of Trustees ONLY gave a 30 day suspension and sensitivity training for Chief Shelide. A full OUTSIDE investigation should have been conducted BEFORE any decision was made.
Thank you too all of the people who spoke up tonight and made your voice heard. Thank you to Mr. Stathakis and Viviano for standard up for your citizens. This isn't a Republican or Democratic issue. This is about standing up for what is right to protect ALL citizens.

The City of New Baltimore had almost exactly the same incident and fired that police officer immediately.
I am saddened as well that he was even given a 30 day suspension....he should have received a medal and raise for saying he would protect his community.
