I think term limits incentivize elected officials to make decisions based on how it will affect their earning potential afterwars. Look at all these retiring Republicans still beholden to Trump because they don't want to hurt chances at being a lobbyist/Fox News contributor.

I worry about term limits. I would rather see a lifetime cap on earning for elected officials- something like a 400k a year cap with all additional income above that taxed at 100%.
