        Well so much for the argument from from the political right that the United States was not founded on racism. And let's include sexism. A white man can marry anyone and it's OK. If a white woman marries anyone other than a white man, she is immediately caste out.

        The Expatriation Act of 1907. These woman could apply for citizenship if their husband was naturalized, they divorced, or she was widowed. UNLESS her husband was an "undesirable" race (Asian) who was barred completely from applying for US citizenship.
