I’m amazed how anyone can do NPQEL or serve as an Exec Head if they’ve never been a Head. Sitting in the chair as a Head is a highly unique experience. You need to have sat in the chair to be able to advise, lead & manage someone in how to do the job. Otherwise it’s guess work.
