My hot take on most crypto skeptics is "nobody cares about Ravi Suria today".
But then I realised, with a shock, that nobody cares about the people who argued *against* Suria back in the day.
In the end, the only people remembered are the people who built things.

This is a deliberately obscure tweet because crypto is such a lightning rod these days. Bravo if you understood the reference to Suria!
I'll shut up now.

Oh man, this is a really good take:

This is mostly right. But though no one cares about Suria's critics today, they were valued by someone: Bezos
Same way @BanklessHQ may be forgotten for defending crypto (or shilling based on your tribe). But they matter to builders *today* who need to know someone has their back

Similarly crypto shills won't be remembered though. At least some skeptics serve as a fraud monitor and it probably helps a few people even if they are not remembered?

Yeah I think what was surprising to me was the realisation that both sides aren't that important in the grand scheme of things. The old nut that "when all is said and done, more is said than done" really turns out to be true!
