I would medium warn against taking Haidt as your only voice on social media mental health. He does good work but is more pessimistic than the average researcher in the field.

I’d like to see evidence of this? I assume you’re familiar with the Google docs where he invites researchers to post evidence for and against? Where an equivalent comprehensive doc with for and against and it concludes differently?

(I am aware, btw, that this is still science in progress. I checked the history of the smoking -> lung cancer correlation research and know it took a decade to reach consensus. Nevertheless…)
