This is a fantastic essay that riffs on my essay about scrubs, and introduces a few new terms that I think I’m going to use going forward. I particularly like the distinction between ‘continuous reality’ and ‘discretised techniques’.

Interestingly, over the weekend judocrazy saw that a player had invented a new turnover variation that included a choke (the original was just a turnover into a pin). Perfect example of a player operating in continuous reality, which we then turn into a discretised game.
