Asking a teacher "Are lectures good?" is like asking a coder "Is C++ good?" or a chef "Is grilling good?" The question is "when", not "whether". The experience you create is what matters. Method depends on subject, but not in an impossible-to-analyze way. There are patterns.

In shop class, the average lecture is worse than the average project. In history class, the avg project is worse than the avg lecture. In public speaking class, every lecture is a demonstration and could be a project! The question is how the method relates to everything else.
