I continue to believe that the entirety of Doerr’s book may be summarised in the 2-3 pages Grove dedicated to discussing Management By Objectives in High Output Management.
And Grove was the OG who invented the approach.

Yes! 100%. The wordcount:insight ratio in this was far less than what I would've expected from someone like Doerr
+ the lack of addressing edge-cases beyond a surface-level acknowledgement of the Goals Gone Wild paper
