So, you should be able to really speed up tacit knowledge acquisition if, instead of observing all that training data first-hand, you can instead learn about it from books/articles/whatever. This should allow you to observe the "important parts" of many more datapoints, faster.

You’ll want to look at chapters 7, 9 and 10. 10 in particular is a collection of different domains that have successfully used this technique.
The property you’re describing is something called ‘cognitive fidelity’, as in ‘this simulation or case study has high cognitive fidelity to the real world task, and therefore leads to good skill transfer’.
I’ve yet to find a generalised explication of principles though.
