Ideas that continue to haunt me: “… despite the incredible popularity it has achieved, falsificationism was always opposed by most philosophers of science and it’s certainly the case that nowadays virtually all of them reject it.”

Why this matters — well, the next time you hear someone saying "that's not falsifiable so that's not science", you should probably have a little voice at the back of your head going "falsification has problems, so you can't use that as a shortcut for what is or isn't science"
