That's pretty funny. This works, but it's not a "theory", so let's stick with the ridiculous for now, eh?

The big 5 personality model gets similar flack. Because it's not theory-derived but is generated via massive survey campaigns and distilled via factor analysis.
But it's super robust and validated thoroughly. Still though, there are many that feel it's just 'statistics'.

I do think that the work of Dreyfus/Klein maps super well to the work of Dr Iain McGilchrist.
Which is a theory. So maybe that would satisfy them.
