I've read many books on decision making but this one had the most powerful impact on me. For the approach he takes alone, studying front line workers making life and death decisions, it's a worthy read. Sources of Power, Gary Klein

Gary Klein was one of the founders of the field of Naturalistic Decision Making. Accelerated Expertise is a book by (mostly) NDM researchers. In fact I'd say Sources of Power is a prereq to reading AE, since AE assumes understanding of the recognition-primed decision making model
