One of the more interesting implications of this that I couldn't get into is that if you create a case library, that actually serves as a way to capture organisational memory.

But it makes sense: if you collect difficult cases where experts have to demonstrate expertise — and turn that into scenarios for training, well, you effectively have a store of organisational knowledge.
