Every manager learns they have to be good at training in order to delegate. Every org designer learns they have to be good at creating training programs to scale management. I thought I was pretty good at creating training programs. Today, showed me I was not.

I've gotten a dozen new followers from this tweet. Just in case you were hoping to follow me for pedagogy stuff... My apologies, I don't ever talk about this on Twitter. I largely write about building a WordPress plugin on here. Sorry to disappoint!

Cedric's the only person I've met with enough of a foundation to understand/appreciate. Also, I got on Twitter mostly for marketing purposes. Also, I have the curse of experience. It's hard to distil and structure. There are many "but only in this case" "here's the exception"

Most of my pedagogy stuff comes through coaching Ultimate Frisbee. I haven't had the chance to trial most of this stuff in business. So I don't know how much will actually work or what needs to be tweaked. So it doesn't make sense for me to talk about it to the biz crowd.

Speaking of "it's hard to distil and structure"... Cedric and I spoke for 10 literal hours on Sunday. At the end, I still sent him texts for new stuff. And I don't think I came close to helping him appreciate one of my fav concepts - creating a failing forward environment.
