One of the more irritating things about liking Judo so much is that it's incredibly unpopular outside France and Japan — so I don't think I can talk about my pedagogical experiments with many people.

The logic is simple: I have limited practice time as an adult, recreational player, so how can I maximise feedback?
The other thing I'm experimenting with is to improve sensemaking from each trial and error cycle — keep a training journal; vary my drills.

since combative exploration is tactile and contact based, video is less likely to offer high dividends like dance would... that said advanced practitioners can correlate visual cues with physical inferences (drawing on spatial & positional memory) effectively via video
