One of the more irritating things about liking Judo so much is that it's incredibly unpopular outside France and Japan — so I don't think I can talk about my pedagogical experiments with many people.
(Folks at my dojo aren't as steeped into the expertise research as I am).

The logic is simple: I have limited practice time as an adult, recreational player, so how can I maximise feedback?
The other thing I'm experimenting with is to improve sensemaking from each trial and error cycle — keep a training journal; vary my drills.

i know very little about judo but am always down to hear you talk about what you're thinking about and trying!

you will find this regardless of the domain. actually people like talking about being experts in their field or relationships. I try to tell them with relationships it's more of a shared expertise. kinda the point.
