I'm climbing the skill tree of podcast editing right now, and wow is this fascinating.
Biggest realisation is that — for all my favourite podcasts — there is likely an editor deleting every single 'um' and 'uh' in post, so that hosts + guests sound smarter than they are.

(In my case I hit a button in Descript, but I still had to give it a listen and undo a couple of deletions, since the neuronet isn't perfect. There are perfectly expressive 'ums' that matter!)
