I was legit blown away by this, when Tasshin told me about it in a call. I think we do this intuitively in meatspace — we learn to avoid people who make us feel bad. And so why not apply that to Twitter/social media/the web? The key is to pay attention to how you feel.

this applies to social media, too. how do you feel when you read/listen to/watch what someone shares, when they interact with you? do you feel good in your body? do you come away energized? if not, why not? do you need to do something differently?

I cast my net wider on the virtual space (asynchronous ones) because 1) it's easier to process and decide how I would respond and 2) I don't want to limit the filter bubble by blocking sources with pov I disagree or uncomfortable with.
