I wonder how much of the popularity of sharing meals, drinks, coffee, etc. is because it's really awkward to talk to people unless you have something to do with your hands.

I read a book a while ago (low-key recommend I guess. It's an easy read and I got a few good ideas from it) called "The Art of Frugal Hedonism" which argues that one of the peak hedonic experiences is hanging out with friends while doing a shared mechanical task like podding peas

One of the problems with a lot of things in this space is that there's really no point in processing fruit and veg that was picked more than a few hours ago, so it's hard to substitute for having an actual garden.

I mean the startup idea is obviously bad, but it's a hard problem to solve for yourself as well.
