I never bought into Graeber's 'Bullshit Jobs' thesis. As a rule of thumb, there is little need to resort to high-falutin' theory when more mundane explanations would do.

Interesting! I have to admit it resonated with me and it seems to have resonated with many others too. I wonder if there’s an explanation for that or if those feelings are marginal to what the study uncovers.

I think a lack of meaning in our work is valid, understandable, and totally relatable. What I didn't like was going from that (reasonable!) observation to an all-encompassing theory of work.
