The Kochs are evil and all that, but you’ve got to give it to them: they’re effective. There’s a thing that Charles Koch says to his subordinates that I keep thinking about — “True knowledge should lead to effective action”.
So if it doesn’t lead to effective action, is it true?

I disagree with that statement given that knowledge has to be relevant to a person's interests / motivations. True statements about chemical processes are not meaningful to a non scientist.

I think we can “safely ignore” a lot of information that we can’t apply. But also there are ideas that may not be true “there is a universal power looking out for you” which may still be useful
