I’m fairly certain Barbarians At The Gate is still the most entertaining business story I’ve read, ever.
And to think the entire book was written (and researched!) out of an un-air-conditioned apartment in Brooklyn, over eight short months.

Would recommend 'The Spider Network' by David Enrich: Rain Man meets 'The Smartest Guys in the Room'. Superb writing and the author avoids the Michael Lewis-like oversimplification of finance concepts.

Haha the length of Barbarians allows for it to have a lot more hilarious & amusing anecdotes but The Spider Network does not disappoint in this dept.
For ex: the protagonist's mom worked directly for the PM Gordon Brown among other "Easter Eggs" thrown in there.
