My 2018 i9 MacBook Pro refuses to work when I turn off the air-conditioning. Thermal throttling kicks in at 28-degC room temperature, under medium load.
Apple really screwed up their thermal design here. SMH.

Their solution is to make a chip that doesn’t need thermal management. 🤷♂️
