This is true in a few games - so if you want to play them well, you need to know what their actual probability distribution table looks like... It's pretty annoying.

Wow, that would annoy me. Wouldn't want to play a game where I had an additional advantage over the AI.

Apple & Spotify also make the random option for playlists less random so the same song or one from the same artist isn’t selected until the other songs are played.

Playing Civ games as a kid, I had the exact same reaction.
Winning even though the odds are against me: "Wow I'm so brave and smart, good for me."
Losing even though the odds are with me: "This game is rigged against me, what a load of BS."

I just came across this video. 'Input Randomness & Output Randomness', Information Horizon, Information Flow, some other really interesting concepts.
