This tweet is directionally correct. In Vietnam, where labour laws are different, and job hopping within 6 months is common, we applied a first-pass filter of rejecting any candidate with more than two <1 year stints.

It just didn't make sense to train new hires, only to have them leave less than a year later. (And good managers take training seriously: managementforstartups.com/articles/how-t) So I can totally buy Linehan's argument that recruiters use crude filters. It's a pragmatic reality.
