Running C25K has been an absolutely fascinating experience.
I’d never been much of a runner — I ran when I was a competitive judoka, but didn’t like it.
I started C25K because I needed something to keep me sane during the pandemic. I recommend it; it’s been very effective.

And even if you’re not into running, the general principle seems more important.
You want a thing that is:
- somewhat difficult
- where progress is guaranteed if you put in the work.
- that lasts a good bit of time (several months)
- that you would feel proud of at the end.

The lesson I’ve learnt is really that in times of great uncertainty, we all need something to make us feel grounded and in control.
Running is currently that, for me.
