What did you think of Hard Drive by Wallace? If you haven’t read it, it chronicles Microsoft’s rise and also serves as a Gates v1.0’s biography (the Alexander-like conqueror version).
And, apparently, it also impacted the anti-trust judge’s view.

I haven’t read it, thanks for the recommendation!
I haven’t dug too deeply into Microsoft’s past, to be honest — at least, not as deeply as I want to.
Do you have other recommendations?

For tech history, I have list Lol:
draytondsilva.com/books.html
The ones by Dyson and Lacy aren't outstanding, I only have them on there for continuity.
'Attention Merchants' is relatively unknown and underrated.
I'm reconsidering Range's inclusion after your review! haha

The Troublemakers, How The Internet Happened, and The One Device are other books I think are really underrated.
