One of the things I keep beating my drum on is that everyone should understand the business models of their industry (and ESPECIALLY their company's!)
Understanding how businesses works gives context to observations about said company. Makes career moves a heck of a lot easier!

Yes! It's a lightbulb moment for sure when I finally `see` the different business models running concurrently and the confusion it creates.
Any fave resource for this?

Good question.
I've picked it up from all the business books that I've read. Maybe the closest is What The CEO Wants You To Know? But then again that's just the basics; the more interesting career-relevant things aren't in there.
