I wrote a comprehensive 8.9k word summary of Range that is intended to be a replacement for the book: commoncog.com/blog/range-boo
Range is disappointing. It could've been so much more.

I wonder if progressive summarization was used for this summary 🤔 (sorry...had to).
But honestly, thanks so much for taking the time to do this! Will definitely go through it (and subscribed to Epstein's newsletter already).

It was =]
The tricky thing wasn't the PS bit, it was the 'evaluate the claims and double-check to see if I'm being unfair to Epstein'.

You have done a great service by writing a summary. The book was a disappointment and did not do justice to the idea of being a polymath.

E.g: Range by Dave Epstein is mostly a reshuffle of ideas such as varied practice and interleaving.
If I had read a well-written book summary like Nat's, I would have saved my time for a better book.
P.S: Soon, I will also share my book summaries as a way of paying it forward.

I also do the same on my personal blog. Guess it's just on a much smaller scale that's more manageable for me. But the reason is identical to yours - a forcing function to not forget what I read!
