There are four categories of responses to this type of article. Each of these correspond to one of the four classical theories of truth. Let's examine each of them in turn, as an exercise in critical thinking.
Conversation
The first response is to evaluate the argument based on its argumentative structure. Do the conclusions flow logically and coherently from the premises? Are there inconsistencies or logical fallacies in the reasoning?
This is the coherence theory of truth.

The coherence theory of truth states that a claim is true if it is logically coherent with all of its upstream propositions.
Basically, the whole 'Socrates is a man, all men are mortal, therefore Socrates is mortal shebang.'
On this basis, Milo's piece passes the bar for truth.

I recognise this from my old philosophy class in Uni. Though the term used to describe this quality is “valid”
An argument can be valid/coherent but still be false because premise is false.
If it’s not coherent or invalid it’s definitely false

What I’m trying to say is I agree with u on this but I kinda prefer my professor’s terms over your coherence theory of truth
As for progressive summarization, I’m less certain than before abt its importance but I won’t go as far as totally denounce it as completely useless

Re: the terms, that's probably the more accurate terminology. I did a bunch of basic philo classes too, so I'm familiar with them. But I tend to avoid using the jargon, because they make me sound like a logic nerd!
(Which, I guess, I probably am).

Hmm I’ll say picking the right book/article/video and struggling with it is many times more impt than PS the activity itself.
