There seems to be 2 views on LinkedIn:
1. It's a professional networking tool, but full of shit content.
2. It's a professional networking tool, and what a great opportunity! So many people posting shit content!
I suspect view (2) is undervalued right now. Thoughts?

I think (2) is true for anyone selling into enterprises - often other social networks are blocked for people so they end up spending a bunch of time on LI.
I don't think eyeballs there for any other segments?

I have a software engineer friend who tells me he gets most of his career-related content from LinkedIn.
I nearly spat out my coffee when he told me that.
There's something weird going on here, and I'm not sure what.

Among the data folk, the majority seem to be more active on LinkedIn–when people find me and want to connect, 75% come via LI, 25% via Twitter 🤷♂️
To improve my feed, I unfollowed everyone (mighil.com/mass-unfollow-) and curated who I follow (<100). This seems to help the feed.

That said, I much prefer the content on Twitter though; the ratio of info to meh is far higher. Maybe it's Twitter's feed algo, which is better at surfacing better info, faster.
