Who's got the best blog post explaining what Goodhart's Law is and why it matters, and how it is influencing almost everything around you but you don't notice it?

I don't have a blog post for you, but "Incentives matter" is the rule of thumb I use. Cedric at have you written one? Your take on it would be my go to read.

Thanks for the shoutout, but I don't have one yet. My thoughts around systems thinking are underdeveloped at the point — I know how to do it intuitively (or so I think!), but I haven't dug into the formal study of systems as much as I want to.
Kevin linked to a couple of blog posts of mine exploring this - twitter.com/KevinSimler/st and there is also some more academic work I've done since then, arxiv.org/abs/1803.04585 , and mpra.ub.uni-muenchen.de/98288/

@davidmanheim went pretty deep on Goodhart's Law in some Ribbonfarm posts a few years ago:

Thank you <3
I read your MPRA paper last year, and remember thinking that it was very good. I've added your Categorising Variants paper to my toread list!
