Self help should be more like r/running. Less yak shaving, less armchair quarterbacking, more questions, kind answers, occasionally mindblowing advice.

The subreddit has good rules. But I think there's something else to it: it's tied to a physical, measurable activity.
Whereas discussion forums like LessWrong tend to devolve into places where people go to talk a lot and feel smart and not get much done.
