From my business experience, I think things can develop into a moat as well, even when not originally intended that way. What are your thoughts about purpose-buit vs stumbled upon?

Yes, I've seen moat-like things that happen by accident in my own business experience as well. But 2 things:
True pricing power over a long period is rare, so you have to be super lucky.
Falling into something through luck isn't repeatable, so I often ignore it in writing.

We're in ecom, so I know what you mean about pricing.
With regard to luck, the exact same thing won't happen again, but other opportunities will emerge. You just have to survive long enough and make small bets with limited down and large upside.
