Phones: good for annotation, hard on the eyes, easy to buy books on iBooks iPad: all of the above, but another thing to bring around Kindle: none of the above, plus hard to obtain books within the Apple ecosystem, and easy on the eyes

I have an iPad for reading non-fiction idea books. (And, yes, I do read on the iPhone, but only during train commutes). Kindle is for narratives (both fiction and non-fiction, e.g. Bad Blood). My reasoning is that I don't need to annotate as much for stories.

Mostly kindle. Reading non fiction idea books (on the iPad) require annotation and focus, so I usually only read at night, or on weekends, at home.
