And then I realise that not enough studies on this exact effect exist, which makes computing the replicability index score difficult.
AFAIK, this is supported by a single study with a sample of 134 undergrad students. And yet I count at least 5 blog posts on the result. Gah.

Probably the lesson here is: don't trust blogs that cite psych studies, if that blogger doesn't display adequate statistical proficiency.
But then how do you tell if the blogger has adequate stats proficiency?
I don't know. Psych is a dumpster fire.

I don’t consider myself statistically proficient, so I’ll probably only be able to write this up once I figure things out. My current hack is to take a psych paper and then work through the stats, pausing to revise what I don’t understand. And then double check w friends.
