Nah, I can get the whole "bad paragraph made me sad" bit.
I mean more like.
The general pattern was "Ford's intelligence is demonstrated by what he accomplished"; and "bad opinion" is considered more of "dumb blindspot" than "misapplication" or worse.

I’d like to think Ford was the product of his times, and we shouldn’t judge him according to our standards. But the way the guy wrote his review was still funny, to me.
