Plenty of goings-on again today... Skype calls, phonecalls, emails on various topics with team colleagues & space agencies at national and ESA level. On top of that, the mundane: hunting down an errant delivery. Successfully this time, I'm glad to say!

A busier day than usual, dealing with instrument costings, verification of a design tweak, accommodation, i.e. where instruments go, some work on science documentation, plus summer outreach plans. I can't complain that this work isn't varied enough!

"I began to surmise that this star might be a comet." Is this how the target discovery will be noted? This turned out not to be the discovery of a comet, but of planet Uranus! William Herschel's report from 1781, at the meeting.

Attending the meeting in Oxford until Wednesday. A large proportion of the UK Planetary Science community here, so it's a great chance to discuss matters face to face with colleagues. Much more effective than email, phone, or videoconferencing!

I didn't manage to make a post yesterday, so two today! Yesterday's activities included planning work, to match the scientific instrument building timescales with those of the funding supply. Not the most exciting mission work, but clearly essential!
