#Wuhan residents estimate, based on calculations of cremations and urns now being returned to families, that between 42k-46k (!!) died in city + surrounding areas in the 2.5 months of lockdown. Far more than official figure of 2535 deaths. #COVID19http://www.rfa.org/english/news/china/wuhan-deaths-03272020182846.html …

Of course, maybe not all of these deaths are from #covid19. Could also be other illnesses that went untreated. And we'll probably never know true numbers. 10+ yrs later, we still don't know how many school children died in #SichuanEarthquake: https://supchina.com/2018/05/11/the-politics-of-not-remembering-wenchuan-earthquake-victims/ …

Hopefully this will get more traction, but we all know NYT, CBC and other left leaning news companies will sweep it under a rug.

If a million people died in China, do you think the world would even know?

There are millions in concentration camps in the west of China and it is barely mentioned.

I don't know if this calculation is correct, but it seems highly probable that the actual number of deaths in China far outstripped official reporting. A question I would raise is whether that was despite China's unparalleled ability to enforce lockdowns - or because of it. https://twitter.com/eileenguo/status/1244296947705364480 …

So, the WHO based their models on the Chinese numbers. If they were suppressed, everyone else is underestimating what we’re facing?

Not necessarily. Though that may seem right at face value, this could still mean similar trends that we’ve been seeing elsewhere, just with a governmental coverup for failures on behalf of the Chinese government to quickly respond in their own outbreak
