Dear God, I'm sick of hearing or seeing questions about what the American founders think about the current state of this or that. Ancestor worship. Focus on what people who are at most ghosts would think of things today. What a silly thing to concern oneself about.https://twitter.com/libertarianism/status/999766740363087873 …
I think that's good though Founders are a pretty benign floating signifier and it's important to have at least one if you want to maintain a coalition

I think it's terrible and gives freedom a bad name and a bad taste. Folks have invoked the name of the mighty founding fathers in the sky since the country was born and the might of leviathan only grows stronger.
-
The failure of libertarian groups to do anything more than barely keep their organizations alive, if that, suggests they're doing something wrong. Anything with founding father worship, Constitution worship, and nationalist symbol worship gets a starting score of -100 in my eyes.
-
I'm just saying I don't think you'll much like the alternative

-
The alternative to not having American nationalist symbols and ancestor worship is simply the absence of that. That's a thing to celebrate, not to dislike. I don't have any U.S. flags in my home and I do quite well without them. Same for political organizations.
-
I like not having American patriotism crammed down my throat. I didn't like seeing American flags at Libertarian Party conventions. I don't bald eagle symbology in people's Twitter headers. Why do you think you think you know what I do and don't like better than I do?
